Education Ministry

Our Vision

Christ-centered education is a vital part of the life of a believer. As the Education Ministry, it is our responsibility to do everything possible to provide Christ-centered education, thus supporting the mission of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

In keeping with the vision of MPBC, the Education Ministry has established the MPBC Bookstore. The purpose of the bookstore is to supply God’s people with resources to be better equipped to do the work of the Kingdom.

Part of our church vision is that MPBC is a “Bible teaching – Bible believing church.” In order to remain within the scope of our church vision, bible based instruction must be available in order to teach God’s people how to rightly divide the Word of Truth. This teaching is available in weekly and monthly classes, as well as other studies provided.

In order to continue to support the vision and mission of MPBC, the Education Ministry plans to build a Christian College and School as well as have bible studies seven days a week; providing plenty of opportunities for spiritual growth. With these achievements, the right tools will be in place to be effective in teaching the people of God.

Our Mission

Matthew 28:19-20 “...Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded…”

Commitment Advisors

Our Purpose

The Commitment Advisors serve as the first line of welcoming and addressing the needs of those who desire to join the Mount Pleasant body of believers through Salvation, rededication, or transferring of membership from one church to MBPC.

Our Goals

  • To effectively and efficiently meet the needs of our new members
  • To provide the initial foundation of Christian discipleship for new believers
  • To provide the guidance required, be it immediate counseling or referral to other ministries within the church.

Ministry Scripture

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Master Life

Our Purpose

God desires for us to have an intimate relationship with him as well as a horizontal relationship with fellow believers. He called us to be co laborers in the ministry and to make disciples

Our Goals

  • Masterlife can help believers in Jesus Christ develop deeper relationships with God and to empower believers to triumph in spiritual warfare.
  • Masterlife will help the children of God develop Christ like characteristics, and to equip the saints of God to evangelize as co-laborers in the ministry while establishing a lifelong relationship with Christ.
  • Masterlife will equip the believers of God to carry out the great commission by help believers develop “a lifelong, obedient relationship with Jesus Christ in which He transforms your character into Christlikeness; changes your values into Kingdom values; and involves you in His mission in the home, the church, and the world.”

Ministry Scripture

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age.”

Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23).

In order to follow Jesus we must learn of his ways and draw closer to him through his word.
